TSSterm 420 allows users to run applications from their SPARCstationswith an exact emulation of the display and keyboard of VT seriesterminals. TSSterm 420 provides windows on the display that emulate thescreen of a VT terminal to the application. Whatever the applicationdraws is displayed in the TSSterm 420 window exactly as it would on a VTterminal. TSSterm 420 also gives users an easy way to use keys that arespecial to the VT keyboard, such as a Gold key, Do key, or F10 key. inaddition, users can assign keyboard keys to frequently used commands.TSSterm 420 offers flexible keyboard mapping, copy and paste, color andblink control, double high and wide characters, multiple sessions, macroand scripting language support, true representation of all characterattributes (bold, blink, underline, and reverse), print capture, sessionlogging and comprehensive customization tools.TSSterm 420 lets users change the size of their window to make it justright for them and TSSterm 420 notifies the application to adjust itselfto the new window size. In addition, TSSterm 420 supports multiplewindows simultaneously. Users also have a choice of character sizes tohelp manage space on the display. TSSterm 420 can save the text thatnormally scrolls off the top of a VT terminal, with a scrollbar so userscan back up to look at what they have done or see information that mighthave scrolled by too fast to read. TSSterm 420 works with color displaysand allows the choice of foreground and background colors. It even letsusers choose additional colors for bold, underlined, reverse video andblinking characters.TSSterm 420 emulates DEC VT52, VT100, VT220, VT320, and VT420 terminals,and supports virtual protocols (Telnet, LAT, and CTERM) and typical asyncprotocols. Support for both Motif and OPEN LOOK is part of thecapabilities TSSterm 420 offers. TSSterm 420 also provides multinationalcharacter support.
